Open-air museum of army in Smečno
Things to visit:

An object of light fortification, pattern 37/B2-80z - one
of few well-preserved objects of so called ´Prague
line´built for the defence purposes against the fascist
Germany before the World War II. It has been restored to
its original state as it was in times of Czechoslowak
Army´s mobilization in September 1938 when the war was
impending.

Permanent exhibition of outer defence of Prague (so called
´Prague line´) in the building of local authority in
Smečno. This exhibition consists of photographs, maps,
models of objects of light fortification and many other
tridimensional objects.

Recommended trail of the trip
Trip by car:
You will drive from Slaný towards Kladno. After 7 km you
will come to Smečno. Keep the direction towards Kladno (Lány)
and before you leave Smečno, turn right towards Smečno
castle, pass it and turn right at the end of the castle wall
along the panel road. You will see the Open-air museum of
army next to the castle wall on your right side after about
25meters.

Saturdays 9.30 - 12.00 13.00 - 17.00 o´clock
Sundays 9.30 - 12.00 13.00 - 16.00 o´clock
holidays 10.00 - 12.00 13.00 - 16.00 o´clock
It is possible to visit the Open-air museum of army from May
1st to October 31st

Admission fees to the Open-air museum of army in
Smečno:
a) In case of presence of open-air museum members -
admission free
b) if they are not present - they will come after previous
arrangement provided:
- minimum number of visitors is 5 persons
- smaller number of visitors pay the same admission fee as 5
persons ( 5 - 10 persons - 15 Kč per person, 10 and more
persons - 10 Kč per person, children up to 10 years,
handicapped people, soldiers in uniform - admisson free)
